Videocon has expanded its budget A-series of
smartphones, with the introduction of the A29. The Videocon A29 has been
launched at Rs. 5,799.
The Videocon A29 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
out-of-the-box and offers dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) and dual standby support. It
features a 4-inch display with a WVGA (480x800 pixels) resolution.
A dual-core (unspecified chipset) processor powers
the smartphone, clocked at 1.2GHz, coupled with 512MB of RAM. The Videocon A29
sports a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a
0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.
It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, and can be
expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It supports Bluetooth, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi,
GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE and 3G connectivity options. The Videocon A29 is backed
by a 1400mAh battery, with no word on talk time and standby. It measures
125x63x11.4mm and will be available in Black and White colours.
